MISS UNIVERSE 2010: The Miss Universe 2010 Pageant has been decided with a 22-year-old Mexican woman Jimena Navarrete taking home the crown on Monday night.
Miss Jamaica Yendi Philipps took second place, Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell took third, Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska got fourth, and Miss Philippines Venus Raj—the projected favorite coming into the competition—took fifth place.

HOW DO I GET NEW PAN CARD
An applicant will fill Form 49A online and submit the form. 'Individual' applicants should affix a recent colour photograph (size 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm) in the space provided in the acknowledgment. The photograph should not be stapled or clipped to the acknowledgement. (The clarity of image on PAN card will depend on the quality and clarity of photograph affixed on the acknowledgment).
If communication Address is within India
(a). The fee for processing PAN application is Rs.94.00 (Rs.85.00 + 10.3% service tax).
(b). Payment can be made either by
- Demand Draft
- Cheque
- Credit Card / Debit Card
(c) If any of addresses i.e. office address or residential address is a foreign address, the payment can be made only by way of demand draft payable at Mumbai.
If communication Address is outside India
(a). The fee for processing PAN application is Rs.744.00[ (Application fee Rs.85.00 + Dispatch Charges Rs. 590.00) + 10.3% service tax].
(b). Payment can be made only by Demand Draft payable at Mumbai.
Demand draft and cheque should be drawn in favour of 'NSDL - PAN'.
Demand draft shall be payable at Mumbai and the acknowledgment number should be mentioned on the reverse of the demand draft.
Applicants making payment by cheque shall deposit a local cheque (drawn on any bank) with any HDFC Bank branch across the country (except Dahej). The applicant shall mention NSDLPAN on the deposit slip.
Credit card / Debit card payment
The acknowledgment duly signed, affixed with photograph (in case of 'Individuals') alongwith Demand Draft, if any, and proof of identity (name in the application should be same as in the proof of identity) & proof of address (Individuals, HUFs, Body of Individuals, Association of Persons & Artificial Juridical Person should provide proof of address of residence stated in the application) as specified in the application form is to be sent to NSDL at 'Income Tax PAN Services Unit, National Securities Depository Limited, 3rd floor, Sapphire Chambers, Near Baner Telephone Exchange, Baner, Pune - 411045'.
Superscribe the envelope with 'APPLICATION FOR PAN - Acknowledgment Number' (e.g. 'APPLICATION FOR PAN - 881010100000097').
Your acknowledgment, Demand Draft, if any, and proofs, should reach NSDL within 15 days from the date of online application.

For Indane Gas connection
New LPG Connections are now available on demand across the country. In case you do not have an LPG connection from any of the PSU Oil Companies in your household. For a domestic connection, you can visit nearest Indane distributor serving in your area and register for the connection with a valid proof of identity and residence.
One of the following documents can be produced for proof of residence.
1.Ration Card 2.Electricity Bill 3.Telephone Bill 4.Passport 5.Employer's Certificate 6.Flat allotment / possession letter 7.House registration papers 8.LIC policy 9.Voter’s Identity Card 10.Rent Receipt 11.PAN card issued by the Income Tax department 12.Driving License

New LPG Connections are now available on demand across the country. In case you do not have an LPG connection from any of the PSU Oil Companies in your household. For a domestic connection, you can visit nearest Indane distributor serving in your area and register for the connection with a valid proof of identity and residence.
One of the following documents can be produced for proof of residence.
1.Ration Card 2.Electricity Bill 3.Telephone Bill 4.Passport 5.Employer's Certificate 6.Flat allotment / possession letter 7.House registration papers 8.LIC policy 9.Voter’s Identity Card 10.Rent Receipt 11.PAN card issued by the Income Tax department 12.Driving License
Note: In Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, as per the requirement of the State Government, Ration Card is a must for issue of new connection for prospective domestic LPG customer

The nearest HP GAS distributor may be approached for a new Gas connection. Alternately you may book for new gas connection on-line. Details of cost of New Connection
One of the following documents can be produced for proof of residence
1.Copy of house lease agreement / rent receipt 2.Copy of Ration Card 3.Copy of Passport 4.Copy of telephone bill/any other utility bill 5.Self declaration attested by Gazetted officer.
Kindly note that in certain states, as per orders received from the State Government, New connections can be released only against production of ration cards.

The Jnanpith Award is the highest literary award in India It is presented by the Bharatiya Jnanpith, a trust founded by the Sahu Jain family, the publishers of the The Times of India newspaper.
The award was instituted in 1961, and its first recipient, in 1965, was the Malayalam writer G. Sankara Kurup. Any Indian citizen who writes in any of the official languages of India is eligible for the honor.
The award carries a cash price of Rs.2.5 lakh, a citation and a bronze replica of Vagdevi.
