If you've filed complaint with the BESCOM, make sure you get a complaint card. Once the lineman rectify the problem, fill the card, sign it and give details of the time when the complaint was addressed.
The upshot of all this is that you don't need to pay the lineman to get the work done. And if you are still not satisfied with the work by BESCOM, speak to the executive engineer of the area.
The lineman, after completing repairs, will give a complaint card to the consumer. It will carry a complaint number and redressal number.
The complaint card will have the mobile number of the area executive engineer.
BESCOM has started issuing these cards across the city and outside.
People can seek these complaint cards from the lineman.
